This open sidewalk cafe serves coffee, crepes, fruit smoothies, salads, sandwiches, pastries and desserts. Breakfast and Mexican specialties such as nachos, burritos and enchiladas also available. Another good choice on the Olas Altas street for people watching, with tables outside and couches and chairs inside.  Daily, 8:30am-2am.

A local spot popular for years for its chocolate covered bananas, smoothies, milkshakes and strong cups of morning coffee. Serving breakfast at Choco Banana and lunch and dinner in the restaurant upstairs, Banana Cantina, open 4pm-11pm. Some of the best coffee in town as they roast their own beans. You might miss finding this place as it's an upstairs location, but I like the bohemian spacious atmosphere that's comfortable for reading and writing, and good sandwiches too. Mon-Sat 8am-10pm

Famous in the Banderas Bay area for their fine pastries, cakes and chocolates. Also serving a full range of hot and cold coffees: cappuchino, mocha, café latte & expresso. Delish cheese, spinach and chicken empanadas, scones and muffins and chicken pies. They deliver. The main bakery and cafe has been in Bucerias for over 20 years now, on the highway to Punta de Mita.  Daily, 9am-10pm
